Don?t overlook your garage when you?re considering home improvement options. There are a few things you can do to really improve your garage and to increase your home?s value.

One great place to start? Right under your feet. That?s right, you can make some changes to your garage floor. There?s nothing intrinsically wrong with a traditional cement floor, but if you spend a great deal of time in the garage or are tired of the inevitable floor stains left behind by your car, there is a better option.

You can paint the floor of your garage. Paint companies produce products specifically designed for the function in a variety of colors. Not only will you be able to mask existing stains with a floor paint, you?ll also create a washable floor surface that will look good for years on end.

If you use your garage as a workshop or for some other function, you may also want to think about adding a little carpet in the areas where you tend to stand. This will make for a better looking and more comfortable experience in the room.

There are many potential changes you can make to a garage. You can convert it for another purpose. You can completely reorganize it. You can also make a big positive change by rolling some paint across the floor!
